Zino Weinstein is a Vienna-based artist of Czech-Austrian background whose practice spans painting, object art and concept-driven public interventions. Introduced to painting at an early age by his mother, herself a painter, he developed his visual language outside formal art education, shaped equally by artistic inheritance and intellectual inquiry. Alongside his artistic work, he pursued academic studies in economics, a background that continues to inform the structural and conceptual dimensions of his practice.
Weinstein’s work is centered on recurring motifs of instability, imperfection and the unfinished. This is most evident in his ongoing series Sesselwahn, in which surreal, dysfunctional chairs become metaphors for fragility, authority and human incompletion. In parallel, he develops larger conceptual works such as Volksbegehren des Geistes, where painting, architecture and public discourse converge into what he describes as Demokratieskulptur. He lives and works in Vienna.
