Zino Weinstein
Vienna-based artist
Painting, Demokratiskulptur, public discourse
Known for the ongoing body of work Sesselwahn and the public art project Volksbegehren des Geistes.

Becoming of form
Using dried oil on aged paper, I develop reduced forms that oscillate between image, sign and fragment. The surface remains matte, dry and deliberately fragile.

Abstract Minimalism
My works seek maximum tension through minimal means. Reduction is not simplification, but a concentration of form, gesture and meaning.

Expressive Creation
The painting process is spontaneous and direct. Through automatic movement, signs, figures and structures emerge between control and dissolution.

About the artist
Zino Weinstein is a Vienna-based artist whose practice spans painting, object art and concept-driven public interventions. His work is centered on recurring forms of instability, imperfection and the unfinished, most notably in the ongoing series Sesselwahn and the larger project Volksbegehren des Geistes. Moving between reduced visual language and discursive frameworks, Weinstein develops works that operate both as images and as catalysts for reflection.
